TEHRAN, Apr. 04 (MNA) – President Rouhani of Iran sent a message to Russia’s Vladimir Putin on Tuesday and offered condolences over the terrorist attack on Saint Petersburg, as well as condemning the act.

President Hassan Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran sent a letter of condolences to President Vladimir Putin of Russia offering sympathies for the death and injury of dozens of Russians in a terrorist explosion in Saint Petersburg subway system and condemning the murder of the innocent civilians by the terrorists.

The complete text of the message comes here:

In the name of God, the most merciful, the most passionate

Dear Mr. Vladimir Putin,

The President of the Russian Federation,

Highly unfortunately, I was informed about the terrorist attack on Saint Petersburg metro and the death and injury of a dozen of innocent citizens of Russia. In addition to categorically condemning the horrific murder, I extend the deepest sympathies and regrets of the people of Iran and myself to you and the people of Russia, wishing patience and serenity for the bereaved families.

As discussed in the latest negotiations with you in Moscow, eradicating terrorism in its all forms, regardless of motivations, needs an endeavor of the international community with cooperation of all countries to counter the ideological and financial sources of the supporters of these murderous groups. To this cause, I am obliged to announce the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to cooperate with the Russian government in this area.

Yours sincerely,

Hassan Rouhani,

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
