TEHRAN, Apr. 04 (MNA) – After a year of negotiations, the representatives of Iran’s Aseman Airliner and US Boeing Company signed a contract of purchasing 60 passenger planes on Tuesday in Tehran.  

According to a contract signed in Tehran on Tuesday, Boeing aircraft manufacturing company is obliged to start delivering new passenger planes to Iranian Aseman Airliner in 2019, with at least 5 deliveries in the first year.

The agreement was finalized after a year of contact, meetings, and negotiations between the representatives of the two companies.

A total of sixty 737 MAX aircrafts have to be supplied to the Iranian carrier, said Aseman spokesman Amir Reza Mostafavi. “The funds to purchase the aircrafts will be supplied by financing but the details of the funds provision will be revealed in the next 3 to 4 month after finalizing the purchase contract in the OFAC (the Office of Foreign Assets Control) of the US Department of the Treasury.”
