“Trump is not picking on only Iran, but also on Mexico, China, NATO, and even the European Union,” said Senior Iranian MP Alaeddin Boroujerdi in an interview with Oslobođenje, a newspaper in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Boroujerdi visited Bosnia and Herzegovina earlier in March 5-6 at the head of a parliamentary delegation. He highlighted that ‘Trump is in trouble even inside the US.”
The senior MP told the Bosnian daily that it is known to us that some courts annulled some executive orders of Trump inside the US and it proves that even inside the US, he has problems with the media, politicians, and courts.
“We will meet our obligations committed in the JCPOA and if the US evades its responsibilities listed in the agreement, the first to lose would be American companies,” noted the Iranian senior legislator.
Touching upon the bilateral relations between Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the ranking lawmaker affirmed that he held satisfactory meetings with Bosnian officials with constructive talks about cooperation and ties and underlined that Iranian officials hold that ‘after the removal of unfair sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, serious measures should be undertaken to expand bilateral relations and economic cooperation which were seriously curbed during the sanctions time.’
“Following the same line we offered the opening of Tehran-Belgrade air route while visiting Serbia and we offered to have the same route expanded to Sarajevo during meetings in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” asserted the veteran MP. “I think this is one of the ways to contribute to the economic cooperation between the two countries especially in the area of tourism.”
He voiced hope that the two governments make necessary agreements to implement a better visa issuance policy which would ease the travel of businesspeople, trade activists, and investors between the two countries. New eases in banking cooperation were among other expectations of Mr. Boroujerdi.
