TEHRAN, Mar. 06 (MNA) – Head of the Judiciary has said Western critiques of Iran’s human rights conditions are generally based on inaccurate and distorted data provided by the opposition and anti-Revolutionary circles overseas.

Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani who was addressing a meeting of Judiciary high-ranking officials on Monday, downplayed the US claims that Iran violated human rights; “we never evaluate their criticism as something serious; they are red-handed in different parts of the world in their adventurism and through their proxy vassal states,” he told the meeting. “Reports received by their human rights organization are based on fabricated and biased details of Iran’s alleged violation of human rights; such circles as anti-Revolutionary exiled individuals provide data and the ammunition for such organizations to pit them against Iran.”

Amoli Larijani also demanded that the government respond to what he believed was bold claims by the US; “their claims, as deemed by the Islamic Republic of Iran as immaterial and not serious, will receive proper response, and we believe the government should prepare strong reaction to these claims,” he emphasized.

“A claim asserts that the 2013 presidential elections during which Mr. Rouhani was elected had been not an open election where state organizations engineered the process and certain individuals were barred from being nominated; this is an insult to the system and we suggest that Foreign Ministry spokesperson should respond timely,” the Judiciary head recommended.
