Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi said on Monday that Bahraini rulers, incapable of solving their internal problems and responding to their citizens' civil and peaceful demands, from time to time link the protests to the Islamic Republic of Iran; “the Bahraini government raises such baseless claims in an attempt to blame others for its internal conflicts and escape accountability to the public opinion, which is the common method among all suppressive regimes,” he noted, adding the strategy does not help solve the crisis.
He urged the al-Khalifa to treat with its people with sincerity, fairness and observing ethics, instead of resorting to outdated methods and insisting on the security approach.
The Bahraini government on the latest claims against the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced that it has arrested an Iranian-based extremist and terrorist group linked to recent attacks in the Arab country.
