TEHRAN, Feb. 08 (MNA) – A building of Department of Dentistry of the University of Tehran has caught fire; firefighter respond and the blaze is now controlled.

The blaze was initiated in the main campus of the University of Tehran in 16 Azar Street. No further information has been provided as to the causes of the blaze. Tehran Municipality Firefighting Department told reporters firefighters had been working on controlling the blaze in an upper floor of the building.

Students panicked and rushed out of the ground floor where there is a restaurant.

An official of the university told Mehr News correspondent that the building had been under repair and a reckless worker’s conduct caused fire when a bulk of paper, dumbed in a floor, caught fire; “the fire was fortunately small-scale and the amount of damage to the building is negligible,” Ahmadreza Khezri added.
