TEHRAN, Jan. 09 (MNA) – Iranian film 'Abji', directed by Marjan Ashrafizadeh, will compete at the 15th Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) in India.

This will be the fifth international screening of ‘Abji’ which narrates the story of two women who have lived together for more than 50 years, but the situation doesn’t remain the same and then the time comes to part ways.

The film won the best feature film award at the 4th edition of the Afghanistan International Women Film Festival.

'Abji' will also be screened at the competition section of the 15th edition of the festival to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 12 to 20 January 2017.

Established in 2002, the Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) will hold its 15th edition on 12-19 January, 2017, in India.

Iranian filmmaker Narges Abyar (best known for ‘Track 143’) has been elected as a member of the jury panel at the Indian festival.
