He made the remarks in a meeting with Malaysian Ambassador to Tehran Raja Nushirwan Zainal Abidin on Monday.
He called for unity and bolstering the spirit of understanding among Islamic states to confront Takfiri and extremist groups.
Pointing to Iran-Malaysia longstanding relations, Sadeghi said it would serve as a major support for development and expansion of political, economic, cultural, and especially parliamentary ties.
Sadeghi stressed the need for cooperation between the two countries in international forums. "Iran and Malaysia as two important and effective countries in the Muslim world can help resolve problems affecting Islamic countries in the region.
Raja Nushirwan, for his part, expressed satisfaction with growing trend of ties between the two countries, saying that in recent years good political, economic and trade relations have developed between Iran and Malaysia, which should be promoted by accurate planning.
He underlined development and expansion of ties between parliaments of the two states, in line with the two nations' interests.
Nushirwan said the issue of Palestine is the most important issue of the Muslim World, saying that existing crises in the region and the need for combat against terrorism should not deviate public opinion from Palestinian issue.
