He added that the first lot of the freeway would become operational three years after opening the LC.
Miri noted that the second and third lots of the freeway would be put on tender by March 19, 2005 and March 21, 2006 onward respectively.
He put the physical progress of the fourth lot at 25 percent, stating that it would come on stream by the end of the next Iranian year, falling on March 20, 2007, upon the allocation of the required credits.
Based on the projection, the finance required for the construction of the second and third phases of Tehran–North Freeway stands at $500m, he said, adding that the exact figure would be announced after the tenders.
He further announced that the participation bonds on Tehran-North Freeway, amounting to Rls.500b, have been presented to the Ministry of Roads and Transportation.
Some Rls.3600b should be provided for complete commissioning of this project within the next three years, he said.
Also in his remarks, Miri said that since the start of the project, the government has invested Rls.200b, and the total investment stands at Rls.800b.
In conclusion, he maintained that credits worth Rls.70b have been allocated for purchasing properties and clearing the way for the construction project.
