TEHRAN, Dec. 05 (MNA) – The Islamic Republic of Iran and 12 other countries took part in the 23rd SILA Annual International Charity Bazaar in Slovenia.

The annual charity bazaar organized by the Slovenian International Ladies' Association (SILA) was held at the Grand Hotel Union on Sunday. Foreign associations and cultural institutions in Slovenia and a number of embassies and diplomatic missions from 32 countries were present at the exhibition.

The Islamic Republic of Iran attended the exhibition with an aim to introduce the Iranian culture, history, civilization and customs and display come unique cultural products and handicrafts which received enthusiastic welcome from the visitors.

Beside Iran, other countries represented at the stalls included Pakistan, Hungary, Poland, Greece, the Netherlands, Russia, the United States, Japan, Kenya and Italy, all featuring highlights of their culinary delights.

This is the second participation of Iran at the SILA charity bazaar.

The funds raised went to five local charities to help women and children who are victims of violence. Over the last two decades, the SILA-IWCL Bazaar has donated more than a million Euros to various Slovenian organizations and individuals.
