On recent talks between Tehran and Zagreb over expansion of ties in oil and gas industries, Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Amir Hossein Zamaninia said a fresh round of negotiations has begun in Iran with the Croatian ambassador as well as representatives of 10 oil firms of the European country.
The official, while stressing that Iran perceives no limitations on development of cooperation with Croats in oil, gas and petrochemical industries, asserted “the European side is mainly eager to provide Iran’s oil and gas industry with technical and engineering services.”
Touching upon the proposal made by Croatian firms to supply maintenance services to the Iranian industry, Zamaninia expounded “the most noteworthy offers made during the joint session pertained to overhaul in oil tankers, oil and gas pipelines and well as in oil and gas refineries.”
The schemes have been submitted to specialized as well as private sectors of the country, highlighted deputy oil minister emphasizing “proper grounds currently exist for bolstering of relations with knowledge-based and credible companies of Croatia in Iran’s oil industry.”
Present talks between Iranian oil officials and the Croatian Ambassador to Tehran Striebor Keric have taken place while state officials of Croatia had previously called for imports of crude oil in addition to certain oil and petrochemical products from Iran.
Earlier this year, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the Republic of Croatia Darko Horvat, during a visit to Tehran, had voiced his country’s readiness to purchase crude oil, gas, polyethylene as well as other petrochemicals from Iran.
