Mr. Bahram Ghasemi briefly talked to the press, voicing Iran’s official reaction to Trump’s election, and the deep resentment and frustration of Iranian people about the US past governments; he believed however that the actual implemented policies mattered the most and the issues raised in campaign trails to canvass popular support would be overshadowed later by president’s performance when in the White House.
Ghasemi also believed that there should be a serious review of the US foreign policy with regard to the Middle East where extremism, war, political turmoil, and the more had rendered the region a home to evil and terrorism; “the rise of ISIL and other threats to the global peace entails a serious refashioning of the American policy in the region,” he concluded.
