Togo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Robert Dussey who is in Tehran as the head of a delegation, held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday afternoon.
During the meeting, the two sides conferred on various aspects of their bilateral relations, ways to expand economic cooperation, regional and international issues, as well as combating terrorism and extremism.
Earlier this May, President Rouhani met with the new Accredited Ambassador of Togo to Tehran, where he highlighted the importance of expanding ties with African countries, and expressed hope for further cooperation between Tehran and Lomé in all areas of economy, culture, and politics.
