Mehrdad Saviz, the project manager, said the incubator can be used to conduct electromagnetic testing on cells.
“This incubator as an integrated device has been produced under microscope for the first time in the country,” he said.
He went on to add, “if we want to keep cells somewhere outside their natural environment, we need to provide special conditions for them, as the cell can only last up to a few hours outside its habitat.”
According to him, the incubator has applications in laboratories and research centers. By sampling human cells, it can be easily put under radiation and researchers can then study the effects of radiation on cells.
“This device has been designed and constructed on a much lower budget than its foreign versions,” he said.
An incubator is a device used to grow and maintain microbiological and cell cultures. The incubator is essential for a lot of experimental work in cell biology, microbiology and molecular biology.
