A group of Iranian traders and businessmen met with their Armenian partners at the headquarter of the Development Foundation of Armenia in Yerevan on Monday to confer on the latest status of trade and business relations between Iran and Armenia and to discuss the plans to expand bilateral cooperation.
The Export Director of the Development Foundation of Armenia, Hayk Mirzoyan, for his part in the meeting, stressed on Tehran’s and Yerevan’s determination for expanding the areas of cooperation especially in the economic field.
Also, Seyed Kazem Sajjadi, Iranian Ambassador to Armenia, addressed the meeting and highlighted the importance of bolstering bilateral ties of Iran and Armenia saying that development of bilateral economic cooperation is one of the main causes of the two countries.
The Iranian envoy to Yerevan maintained that forming a group-work composed of the economic activists of the two countries could contribute to materialization of the goals for developing cooperation between Iran and Armenia.
Removing barriers and easing economic interactions, identifying new potentials for increasing relations, joining of the private sectors of the two countries to have the reciprocal knowledge of the two markets and the demands, and exchanging experiences were among the suggestions made by Iranian and Armenian traders attending the event.
