TEHRAN, Oct. 29 (MNA) – At a meeting with Iran’s Deputy FM Rahimpour, Ukraine’s FM Klimkin said the plan to facilitate the issuance of visas for Iranian nationals has been put on the agenda.

Speaking at the joint meeting in Kiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin emphasized the need for further expansion of public relations between the two countries announcing that his country is after facilitating visa issuance regulations for a number of countries like Iran.

The Ukrainian official also pointing to the significance of the next meeting of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation between the two countries and underlined the necessity of developing bilateral ties in various fields especially agriculture, industry and energy.

He further attached great importance to Tehran-Kiev relations deeming Iran as trustable partner as well as a regional and international power; “removal of sanctions remains as another factor in greater development of ties.”

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour, for his part, pointed to the good relations between both sides over the past 25 years; “current level of trade turnover is too low and new capacities need to be created in order to reach the aim of a higher trade turnover.”

The Iranian official underscored the need for drafting and signing of documents for trade, removing banking barriers, visa facilitation, development of transport between the two countries and strengthening private sectors.

The two parties also exchanged views on regional developments and deputy Iranian FM offered presented the country’s viewpoints towards the raised issues.
