Five fixtures of the Persian Gulf Premier League of Iran's Professional football week 10 were held on Thursday while three of the events ended with sharing of points.
In Tabriz, Majid Jalali’s side, Peykan of Tehran, thrashed Mashinsazi of the city 4-1 to grab all the three points of the away game. While the hosting table-bottomers scored the opener of the event conceded 4 times to make it a happy day for visitors.
However, the other football clubs of Tabriz, Tractorsazi and Gostaresh Foulad, lined up against each other for the seventh derby of the city where the red giants won 2-0 to register their fourth win of derby while the three other events were drawn.
Thanks to Saipa’s Hamed Shiri injury time equalizer, Sepahan lost a 1-0 win at an away event and the fixture finished 1-1.
In Qom, the hosts, Saba, had their first home defeat of the season against Padideh of Mashhad who had never won a fixture after the first week of the season. Samad Marfavi’s side lost 3-2 to be still with 9 points at the lower positions of the table next to Mashinsazi and Siah Jamegan.
The blue giants of Tehran who could have snatched the 4th consecutive victory of themselves in the season at an away sporting in Ahvaz conceded to a late equalizer of Sasan Ansari at minute 77 to lose the chance of getting up to the 3rd position in the standings.
At Ghadir Stadium of Ahvaz, Jaber Ansari’s opener of the minute 35 gave the visitors a listless advantage but a quarter to the final whistle all the superiority of Esteghlal of Tehran was leveled by the hosts, Foulad of Khuzestan.
