TEHRAN, Oct. 23 (MNA) – Managing Director of the Export Development Bank of Iran Ali Saleh Abadi and CEO of Hungarian Export-Import Bank (Exim Bank) Zoltán Urbán while signing a banking MoU in Budapest, stressed the support for the expansion of economic ties between the two countries.

During his three-day visit to Hungary, Saleh Abadi met with officials on banking cooperation and exchanged views on financing guidelines for Islamic Republic and Hungary's joint projects.

He also attended a meeting of businessmen and industrialists in Hungary's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and referring to the activities of the Export Development Bank of Iran, expressed the bank's readiness to support economic ties between the two countries, describing it in line with the expansion of economic cooperation.

While emphasizing the importance of increasing trade exchanges and projects of mutual interest, Saleh Abadi highly regarded the mutual agreement on financial support of the projects, adding "this will raise economic cooperation between the two countries."

Zoltán Urbán, for his part, describing the activities of Exim Bank in support of the expansion of economic cooperation between Hungarian and foreign companies, announced the bank is ready to cooperate with Export Development Bank of Iran in financing the intended projects.
