TEHRAN, Oct. 22 (MNA) – Iran and Russia signed 30 memorandums of understanding in the 2nd summit of Iranian and Russian Top Universities’ Chancellors in Tehran.

The MoUs were signed between the two sides with an aim to expand scientific and educational activities, student and professor transfer, holding joint courses and conducting joint research.

23 Russian delegations with 20 chancellors from Moscow State University, Gubkin, Lobachevsky University, kabardino-balkar state university, etc. took part in the summit and signed agreements with University of Tehran, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Shahid Beheshti University, Shiraz University, Sharif University of Technology, and Isfahan University.

Iran University of Science and Technology will be also having scientific cooperation with Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University under an MoU signed between the two universities.

The first joint meeting of Iranian and Russian Top Universities was held at the venue of Central Library in Lomonosov Moscow State University on 28 October, 2015. The third summit will be once again hosted by Russia.
