TEHRAN, Oct. 20 (MNA) – Iranian renowned female director, Rakhshan Bani E’temad, was awarded at the 4th International Women's Film Festival in Herat city of Afghanistan for a life-long contribution to women’s cinema.

The 4th International Women's Film Festival in Herat city of Afghanistan awarded, on Wednesday, Rakhshan Bani E’temad, the Iranian acclaimed director, for the collection of her 13 film mainly concerned with women’s problems.

The 4th edition of the event is underway having Iranian actress Fatemeh Motamed Arya as a member of jury committee and another Iranian actress Mahnaz Afshar is speculated to win the award for the best leading actress at the event.

The Festival will also screen Bani E’temad’s Rusari Abi (1995 - aka The Blue-Veiled) on Friday.
