TEHRAN, Oct. 14 (MNA) – The two host clubs defeated their rivals on Friday at the eight week of Persian Gulf Premier League of Iran's Professional soccer.

The eight week of Persian Gulf Premier League of Iran's Professional soccer kicked off with two fixtures on Friday as Peykan of Tehran hosted Sanat Naft of Abadan at Shohada Stadium of Quds Town in Tehran and Foulad of Khuzestan lined up against visiting Saba of Qom in Ahvaz.

In Tehran, Morteza Aghakhan scored the opener for the hosts at the minute 58 and their lead was strengthened with another goal 9 minutes later but within three minutes between 75 and 78 the visitors retaliated and the game was again returned to a deadlock. Mohammad Shadkam scored the first goal for Sanat Naft of Abadan and Reza Nowrouzi converted the penalty kick out at minute 78.

Shahriat Moghanlou scored two minutes into injury time for Peykan to make the hosts the winners of the event. Peykan with the three points of the victory and the total of 11 points got the fourth place in the table pushing Sanat Naft down to the 5th row.

The second event of the day was concluded again with the victory of the hosts, as Ahvazis won 2-0 over the visitors from Qom. The other fixtures of the week will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
