TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (MNA) –The Foreign Ministers of Iran and Ecuador met on Wednesday and exchanged views on the ways to have a stable market for their countries’ valuable product, oil.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Ecuadorian counterpart Guillaume Long discussed practical solutions to stabilize oil price in their meeting in Ecuadorian capital city of Quito.

Zarif also held separate meetings with Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa and Speaker of Parliament Gabriela Rivadeneira.

Zarif told the media, after his meeting with Ecuador’s president that both Iran and Ecuador are after cementing their position in the global market of oil.

After meeting with his Ecuadorian counterpart, the Iranian foreign minister said that the two countries of Iran and Ecuador have agreed to follow their objectives via OPEC.

Guillaume Long told the reporters that the two sides discussed to share a unified approach toward oil price.

Wrapping up his visit to Ecuador, the Iranian foreign minister, who was in Cuba on Monday and travelled to Nicaragua on Tuesday, left Ecuador for Chile. Bolivia and Venezuela are going to be the last countries in Zarif’s South American tour of 6 countries.
