TEHRAN, Aug. 10 (MNA) – NIOPDC head said Iran’s gas oil exports have experienced a fourfold rise in the current Iranian calendar year (began March 20).

Head of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) Seyed Naser Sajjadi described the latest status of Iran’s oil products sales saying “over the first 141 days of the current Iranian year, a daily average of 56 million liters of Iranian oil products were shipped to world markets.”

“In the meantime, an average of 44 million liters of mazut were exported per day while the figure for gas oil was 13 million liters,” stressed the official asserting “the overall volume of exports has reached 56 million liters per day.”

Sajjadi pointed to the daily upward trend in exports volume of Iran’s oil products since the beginning of the current year noting “over the past three weeks, a daily average of 47 million liters of mazut and 14 million liters of gas oil have been deployed to world markets giving a total of 61 million liters per day which exceeds the average amount of the four-month period in the present year.”

“Exports of gas oil in the previous Iranian year stood at only 3 million liters while the amount has experienced a fourfold growth solely in the current month,” highlighted the NIOPDC head.

He further emphasized that excellent facilities have been developed in southern Iranian ports in order to create export infrastructure; “accordingly, vast possibilities have been established in southern ports and terminals for transfer and exports of oil products,” concluded Sajjadi.
