TEHRAN, Aug. 09 (MNA) – Bahram Ghasemi, the spokesman of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, offered condolences over Quetta terrorist attack and called on the international community to be unified against terrorism.

“Unfortunately, the way extremism and the disastrous Takfiri terrorism are treated with support from some regional states has led to the day-to-day spread of violence and terror,” said Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesperson of Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday in reaction to the suicide bomb attack at a hospital in the Pakistani city of Quetta which claimed the lives of many civilians on Monday.

The Iranian diplomat called upon the watchful consciences in the international community, especially those in the region, to take a swift action to prevent and stop such savage slaughters.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always maintained that only a global will without double-standard approach can overcome this sinister, unimaginable, and horrific phenomenon,” articulated Ghasemi.

Offering the sympathy of Iran’s government and nation to the government and people of Pakistan, Ghasemi expressed profound condolences over the sad incident to the bereaved families of the victims.
