TEHRAN, Jul. 25 (MNA) – Foreign Ministry spokesperson has condemned terrorist blast which hit holy shrine city of Kazemein on Saturday evening.

Bahram Ghasemi told reporters in his official reaction to the blast in Shia majority city that the Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the blast which killed tens of pilgrims and wounded dozens of others, while offering condolences with the families of victims and Iraqi government and people at large.

"Still the international responsibility remains on the place to support Iraqi government and nation on the face of atrocities afflicting the people on daily basis; fight with Takfirism and extremism entails strong resolve and global coordination, to which Foreign Ministry calls international organizations," Ghasemi added.

"4 people have lost their lives and 17 others sustained injuries in a terrorist attack in the holy city of Kazemein on Suday. According to Iraq security officials, a terrorist blew himself up in a street in Kazemein north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad," wrote a report covering the event in Iran's state news agency IRNA.
