TEHRAN, Jul. 23 (MNA) – President Hassan Rouhani is due in Baku on Aug. 8 to attend a trilateral meeting with his Azerbaijani and Russian counterparts.

An Iran-Russia-Azerbaijan trilateral meeting will be held in Baku on August 8 during which President Rouhani will confer with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin on ways to expand trilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional issues.

Back in April, a meeting of the Azerbaijani, Russian and Iranian foreign ministers Elmar Mammadyarov, Sergey Lavrov and Mohammad Javad Zarif took place in Baku during which the three sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest in regional cooperation, particularly issues of bilateral and trilateral projects' implementation, banking cooperation, as well as the transport corridor 'North-South', regional security issues, including the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
