TEHRAN, Jul. 20 (MNA) – Head of AEOI has commented on Larijani's remarks on Parliament session to make a point clear: there is no new enrichment facility, just the mechanism was meant.

Mr. Ali Akbar Salehi was speaking to Channel One 14 Hour News Program in IRIB on Wednesday about Parliament session and Ali Larijani's remarks that Iran should prepare enrichment facilities; Mr. Salehi's comments however was addressed to audience beyond the borders who would misinterpret Mr. Larijani's commentary as quite a novelty; he was trying to clear a point where Parliament speaker said different point but meant yet another different point; "what Mr. Larijani was saying was that there should be a system of returning back to status quo ante, that is, situation before JCPOA; there is no new 'factories' as Mr. Larijani's remarks would invite to the minds," he added.

"JCPOA gives open ways for us to return back to our previous status of enrichment, if any violation of JCPOA is manifest enough to make us to decide in this way; this is a decision made by the Establishment and no single politician or negotiator would decide on his own," Mr. Salehi told the news program. "Some allegations have been made against Iran, which included the allegations that Iran had been seeking to procure nuclear equipment from illicit canals; we argue that JCPOA does specify such pathways for Iran to legally obtain if needed such facilities; there has been a general disorder and discrepancy in the remarks of the western leaders recently, and we smelt conspiracy and at that time blew the whistle for the authorities in the Establishment," he emphasized.

Salehi also criticized Mr. Ban's report as biased; "for such a reason, we should remain on alert for any unforeseen acts of violation of JCPOA," he asserted.

On a confidential document claimed by Associated Press about Iran's past nuclear program, Salehi said that no such confidential document ever existed and that "the Organization prepared a 15-year plan to revolutionize our nuclear industry which was approved by SNSC and provided the IAEA with that document along with Additional Protocol," he concluded.
