Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remark in response to a question among reporters on the sidelines of the closing ceremony for a student contest dubbed ‘Question of Mehr’, adding “we have already maintained that the United Nations has had no part in the course of the JCPOA and has done nothing to benefit the nuclear deal.”
Zarif went on to add, “in a statement we released concurrent with the Resolution 2231, we affirmed that Iran would continue our measures in combating terrorism. This is Islamic Republic's policy and has nothing to do with the JCPOA.”
To a question about a recent news item published by the Associated Press with claims on a ‘confidential document’ related to the nuclear deal, Zarif said “all media outlets in the world have not seen the whole document to become fully informed about the achievement brought about by the efforts of our negotiators and industry experts.”
“All media outlets say that Iran will rush toward industrial enrichment after ten years,” Zarif said. “Hopefully, when the whole document is published, it will become apparent where we will be in 15 years’ time.”
The AP claims that it has obtained a confidential document that outlines Tehran's plans to expand its uranium enrichment program after the first 10 years of the nuclear deal.
