TEHRAN, Jul. 18 (MNA) – A CAOI official has announced that Iran-Turkey flights have been restarted after the short hiatus.

Reza Jafarzadeh, the Head of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization public relations office, made the remarks on Sunday saying “flights of domestic and Turkish airlines recommenced.”

“Although flights to Turkey halted on Friday evening at 23:30 o’clock as a result of an attempted coup d’état in the neighboring country, Iranian and Turkish airlines can perform their planned journeys given the provision of suitable conditions for plane trips,” he continued.

Jafarzadeh, while advising public relations offices of airlines to inform passengers on latest travel conditions, encouraged travelers to make inquiries on flights times.

Following the recent crisis in Turkey on Friday night and early hours of Saturday, Iran suspended all its flights to Turkey; meanwhile, almost 20 passenger-less flights were launched to Turkey on Saturday afternoon for bringing Iranian passengers back home.
