TEHRAN, Jun. 27 (MNA) – Navy Commander Sayyari has deemed domestic supply of equipment by young Iranian experts as a considerable advancement for the Iranian navy.

Speaking at local ceremony in this southeastern Iran province of Kerman on Saturday evening, Iran's Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said “Iran’s significant presence in various areas in the Persian Gulf marks a sign of progress leading to development and prosperity.”

'Our mission today is to implement the Leader's guidelines,' Sayyari added.

The commander went on to note that “the naval forces of Iran are present in the international waters, provide security for the ships and hoist the Iranian flag while in past the forces could just navigate at a distance of 50 km off the beach.”

The official further referred to presence of Iran's 41st flotilla in Gulf of Aden aiming to successfully provide security and serve the country's economic interests there.

He emphasized that “Iranian navy’s powerful performance has established full security while presence in international waters marks a greater progress.”

“Vigilance in recognizing the enemy’s tricks and ways of damaging the Islamic culture are the main factors in confronting invasion,” underlined Sayyari.
