TEHRAN, Jun. 19 (MNA) – An official said 9 oil tankers have docked at Iran's largest oil terminal on Sat., thus breaking the record of Iran's oil exports and tanker traffic this year.

Seyyed Pirouz Mousavi, Managing director of Iran Oil Terminals Company (IOTC), told Mehr News that on Saturday nine oil tankers docked simultaneously at eastern and western ports of Kharg Island Oil Terminal, adding “crude oil was also transfered to a tanker via ship-to-ship (STS) method.”

He maintained that the docking of the nine oil tankers on Saturday has broken Iran’s crude oil exports this year, adding “a total of about 7.1 million barrels of crude oil were exported yesterday.”

He further added that some of the oil tankers belonged to China, India, South Korea and a European country.

“Presently, all necessary infrastructure for providing services to Iranian and foreign tankers has been established at Kharg oil terminal and there is no technical or operational limitation for providing services,” he said.
