TEHRAN, Jun. 15 (MNA) – North Khorasan province exported about 76,500 tons of products worth $8.7 million in the first two months of current Iranian year (began March 20, 2016).

According to the public relations office of North Khorasan province Department of Industry, Mine and Trade, the export plan of the province for the current Iranian year was 190 million dollars, 4.6% of which has so far been materialized.

General Manager of Industry, Mine and Trade of the northeastern province Yahya Nikdel said that the export fell 69.5% in terms of cost and 26% in terms of weight compared to the preceding period.

Exported products include petrochemical products (urea, melamine, ammonia), steel products, plastic products, construction materials (cement, building skeleton, steel parts), food materials (tomato paste, chicken leg), agricultural products (potato), carpet and artificial paper.

Nikdel went on to add that “products were exported to Iraq, Tajikistan, Qatar, Turkey, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, India, Bahrain, Germany, Kuwait, Portugal as well as Spain.”
