TEHRAN, Jun. 12 (MNA) – Iran’s Olympic silver medalist in discus throwing has won the gold medal in Stuttgart track and field tournament.

Ehsan Haddadi, Iran’s hopeful for gold in Rio Summer Olympics 2014, threw the discus 64.65 meters to come short of its own record registered in London Summer Olympics 2012 of 68.18 meters which won for him the silver medal. In July 2015 and during 2015 IAAF World Championships in Luxembourg, Haddadi secured a place in Rio Olympics with personal best of 65.22 meters and standing atop the podium.
