Hossein Jaberi Ansari made the remarks in an interview with a Channel 3 program on Saturday night.
Pointing to the foreign policy issues, including the issue of Hajj, Jaberi Ansari said Saudi Arabia would be responsible if Iranian pilgrims are banned to perform their religious rituals.
Unlike their claims, Saudi officials have publicized the Hajj pilgrimage, FM spokesman said, noting the country sees itself against Iran on various issues, and has long put its policy based on tensions with Iran.
Saudi Arabia, as the host of Hajj, should consider its duties in respecting the pilgrims, guarantee their security and provide them with the consular support, the spokesman said, adding however it has tried to increase tensions in this regard.
According to the latest negotiations, Jaberi Ansari noted, Saudi officials refused to provide Iranian pilgrims with consular support and they did not accept to guarantee the security of pilgrims.
He underlined that the key source of many of regional issues is Saudi Arabia, which has chosen a harsh and aggressive policy fearing of world opinion towards its behavior.
