Hossein Amir-Abdollahian’s visit coincided with martyrdom of Hezbollah's top military commander in Syria, Mustafa Amine Badreddine on Friday and his funeral by Hezbollah.
Amir-Abdollahian also paid tribute to the fallen commander, mentioning him with laudatory remarks of ‘great commander of Islamic resistance,’ and offered condolences to the commander’s bereaved family and Muslims at large. He believed Takfirists were behind the plot of killing Badreddine and that Israel along with terrorists had waged efforts to render Islamic world fragmented and easy to rule.
“Bedreddine’s martyrdom sends strong messages to resistance and Defenders of the Shrine in Syria that the nemesis will be stronger and harsher against Takfirist terrorists,” he told in the funeral. “Efforts will go on unremittingly against Takfirism to bestow upon the world of Islam a much anticipated unity.”
In a related story, Hezbollah issued a statement to announce the martyrdom of Mustafa Badreddine in Syria during a fight against Takfirists. Preliminary investigations indicate that a blast near a Hezbollah command center near Damascus International Airport had been by a Takfirist group’s shelling of the neighborhood.
