In their last encounter at the regional football championship of Asia 2016, Iranian U-14 girls’ football squad overcame host Tajikistan 7-nil to win the bronze medal.
Roghayeh Jalal Nasab (13’, 34’), Maryam Mohammadi (14', 70+2'), Bahar Sirous (65', 70+1'), Aynaz Haghverdi (70') found the net for the Iranian outfit in the 3rd-4th placing match.
Accordingly, Bangladesh retained their AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship for the South and Central zone crown after downing India 4-0 while Iran claimed third place as they hammered hosts Tajikistan 7-0 on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Roghayeh Jalal Nasab won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award of The regional football championship of Asia 2016 among girls under 14 years in South and Central Asia held in Tajikistan.
