TEHRAN, Apr. 23 (MNA) – Iran’s representative has finished third at the 32nd Asian Snooker Championship in Qatar.

Attracting athletes from Malaysia, Philippines, Pakistan, Thailand, India, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Iran as well as other Asian countries, the 2016 Asian Snooker Championship kicked off in Qatar’s Doha on April 16 with Iranian snooker player Amir Sarkhosh of Iran beating Mohammed Shahab of UAE in order to stand on the third podium.

Sarkhosh had previously won the titles of 2013 Snooker 6-Red Championship as well as 2015 Asian 6-Red and Teams Championships.

Iran was also represented at the 2016 Asian Snooker Championship by Soheil Vahedi and Arman Dinarvand who only managed to reach the Table of 16 of the event.

The competitions will come to an end today on Saturday with the final encounter taking place between representatives of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Thailand.

Iranian judges Rahman Harouni, Milad Mirzakhanian as well as Reza Shokri also attended the 32nd edition of Asian Snooker Championship.
