TEHRAN, Apr. 21 (MNA) – Iran and Chinese CNTIC petrochemical company have signed construction of Mehran Petrochemical Complex which will produce propylene.

CNITIC had already signed with Iran participation in and financing of projects underway in southern oil regions such as Bushehr and Masjed Soleiman. The petrochemical plant will produce resin phenol, polyule, and acrylic acid for the first time in Iran and at the same time will provide food for downstream industries in Ilam province industrial hubs and raw material for other production units across the nation.

The complex will incorporate the latest cutting-edge technology of Germany, France, Britain, and Denmark. The products of the complex will be used in manufacture of nylon, detergents, colors, aspirin, gasoline additives, glue, etc. The complex will rule out imports of raw material of petrochemical and polymer industries. The complex will create 3,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.
