Distinguished German-Iranian neurosurgeon Prof. Madjid Samii in the meeting of the 5th Symposium of World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS 2016) announced the participation of highly outstanding scientific figures from across the globe including 30 prominent German scientists, saying “the presence of these figures in Iran has great significance for the country, since they are all among the top scientists in their own country. As such, their recount of the experience they had in Iran when they return to their country can produce very good feedback."
Samii also touched upon the tourism opportunities the holding of the WFNS in Tehran would present to the country, saying “the participating guests, beside their high status in the world of science, are also interested in visiting our country’s many attraction sites. The Symposium will for sure establish very good interactions in the area of tourism and introduce the real face of Iran to the guests.”
Prof. Samii who received Golden Order of Merit from Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić last week for his scientific achievements and long-term cooperation with Serbia, announced the attendance of President Nikolić in the symposium. The Serbian President accompanied with a scientific and economic delegation will visit Iran and deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the symposium.
The 5th Symposium of World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS 2016), concurrent with the 7th International Neurosurgery Congress and the 1st International Neuroscience Confederation Congress, supported by the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology and led by Prof. Samii, will be held in Tehran on 17-22 April, 2016.
