TEHRAN, Feb. 22 (MNA) – Iranian and Kyrgyzstan labor ministers met in Tehran emphasizing the need to reinvigorate relations in labor, training and social welfare areas.

Iran’s Minister of Cooperatives Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabiei met his Kyrgyz counterpart in Tehran on Monday morning deeming the visit as a turning point in bolstering ties between the two countries as well as stressing the need for joint investments in mining, construction and pharmaceutical areas.

Rabiei touched upon religious and cultural commonalities between the two countries expressing Iran's readiness to develop cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran and Kyrgyzstan have always enjoyed good relations and exchange of experiences in the fields of social support would strengthen the existing bonds," he said.

The participants at the meeting also discussed the capabilities of the two countries in areas of labor relations, social security, vocational training as well as the possibility of exchange of experiences.

“Iran hold precious experiences with regard to labor relations, safety, health as well as technical and vocational training,” commented the official voicing the eagerness of Iranian firms to make joint investments in Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Social Development Kudaibergen Bazarbayev, for his part, voiced satisfaction towards visiting his Iranian counterpart noting “we attach great importance to relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran being eager to develop relations in all political, economic and social arenas.”

Bazarbayev deemed Iran’s capabilities in development of basic health services and rehabilitation of the disabled as priceless calling for exchange of relevant experiences.

The Kyrgyz official further urged joint investment and holding of conferences and workshops as areas of interest.
