Mehrtash Hedayatimanesh, the head of the tech company, KimiaShimi Sahand, who is also a chemistry graduate told reporters on Tuesday that the product was the first ever nonalcoholic nano-based sanitizer with strong antibacterial properties. “Pasteur Institute of Tehran has approved the product, which is useful to sanitize and disinfect metal, plastic, glass, leather, and other surfaces and kill the microorganisms feeding and living in these surfaces,” he added.
“The sanitizer enjoys neutrality which makes it stand distinct from the other brands of sanitizers which are acidic or basic in composition; it is environment-friendly and would not damage the surfaces where it is applied,” Hedayatimanesh detailed.
“Mobile phone and tablet screens are excellent conducive surfaces for bacteria to burgeon; constant contact with these surfaces when the individual is ill, or when he sneezes, makes them candidates of being infectious potentially contagious,” he told reporters.
“Research has shown that the bacteria populations of mobile and tablet screens are 500-times larger than the public toilets, which indicates that contact with these surfaces helps spread different stands of viri or bacteria,” said the head of tech company.
Hedayatimanesh added that the patent had been registered for the nano-emulsion non-alcoholic herbal sanitizer; “a significant property of the product is its antistatic properties which makes it resistant to dust,” he concluded.
