TEHRAN, Feb. 13 (MNA) – The Vice-Chancellor of Iran’s University of Science and Technology told reporters that the university is going to build a joint center with German universities in Iran.

During the last visit of the German academic delegation, the IUST agreed to act as the hub for the joint university of Iran and Germany, said Touraj Mohammadi, the Vice-Chancellor of Iran’s University of Science and Technology (IUST), on Saturday.

The Iranian academician announced that after international projects of the university in the last year, a new decision has been made to make the IUST a center for having German universities in Iran.

"The IUST is responsible for establishing a joint university of Iran and Germany," Mohammadi added.

He also told the reporters that despite plannings for establishing the joint university, the execution of it is not yet timetabled and the same kind of joint academic measure with other countries is being considered.

The joint university, according to Mohammadi, is to be an international center open to students from all over the world.
