TEHRAN, Jan. 27 (MNA) – Iranian woman shooter finished 4th in Asia Olympic Qualifying Competition for Shooting winning tickets to Rio Olympic Games.

The 2016 Asian Olympic Shooting Qualifying Tournament is being held in New Delhi, India between January 27 and February 3 with the participation of a total of 538 shooters representing 30 countries.

Competing at the Pistol events, Iran’s Golnoosh Sebghatollahi reached the finals of the event finishing fourth in the overall ranking and found her way to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

Previously, Najmeh Khedmati and Elaheh Ahmadi had won Olympic quotas at Women’s 10-meter rifle.

Elham Harijani, the other Iranian representative at the Indian tournament, only managed to finish in the eighth place.

Taiwan and South Korea had already received Olympic tickets clearing the path for Iran’s female athletes to enter the Olympic arena.

A total of 35 quota places for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will be awarded based on Asia Olympic Qualifying Competition for Shooting.
