TEHRAN, Jan. 18 (MNA) – Iran's para-archery team wrapped up the Fazza International Para Archery Competition with 3 medals.

On the last day of the second edition of an international para archery event held in Dubai, Iran’s Gholamreza Rahimi bagged the bronze medal at men's individual recurve event.

In the finals of the recurve event, Rahimi faced the Iraqi rival finishing runner-up adding to his earlier gold medal in the mixed section.

Somayyeh Abbaspour, the other Iranian representative, managed to win the bronze medal at women’s compound section.

Accordingly, the two Iranian archers finished at the Fazza Championships with a total of 3 medals.

The Iranian squad is scheduled to return to Iran on Tuesday, January 19.

The Second Fazza International Para Archery Championship Dubai 2016 is being held at the Dubai Club for the Disabled.

Participating countries in the event were Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, France, India, Iran, Iraq, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Great Britain, South Korea, Thailand and the tournament host the UAE.

As part of the Fazza Championships calendar, the para archery competition aimed at promoting international camaraderie and competitiveness among disabled athletes.
