TEHRAN, Dec. 06 (MNA) – The AEOI head Salehi said Sun. Iranian researchers are determined to establish the position of the country as a supply pole for radiopharmaceuticals in the Middle East.

The remark was made by Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), in a message to the secretariat of the 33rd specialized International Nuclear Achievements Exhibition currently underway in Semnan.

The senior nuclear official highlighted the need and significance of using nuclear technology for improving life conditions and enhancing the capabilities of human societies in the fields of health and agriculture.

“The AEOI through utilization of the latest achievements of specialists in this strategic field is intent on further increasing activities related to nuclear technology and establish the Islamic Republic’s position as a supply pole for radiopharmaceuticals in the Middle East,” said Salehi.

The AEOI chief further noted the existing capacities of the peaceful nuclear energy in protecting and preserving the environment and boosting agriculture activities.

“Today, the need for obtaining clean energies and promoting new methods for agriculture and industrial storing have become most prominent and everyone has realized the significance and sensitivity of this strategic issue,” said Salehi, while expressing hope for further improvement of research and academic cooperation in the field of nuclear technology.  

The 33rd edition of International Nuclear Achievements Exhibition is currently being held in Seman Province, Iran from 5-9 December. The event is organized by the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) in line with expansion of peaceful nuclear technology.
