ILAM, Nov. 28 (MNA) – Stressing that all across the borders anti-security movements are monitored, commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force reassured Arbaeen pilgrims about the absence of such movements.

While visiting Mehran border in West of Iran on Saturday morning, Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said “fortunately, full security measures have been taken for Arbaeen pilgrims’ commute with the help of armed forces including the army, IRGC as well as the police.

“Upon noticing the slightest threatening movement, it will be stifled by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” underlined he.

The army commander noted that the safety of Arbaeen pilgrims is ensured via several means including intelligence and security services using drones as well as air patrols.

Brigadier General Pourdastan expressed gratitude towards the hospitable people of Ilam Province for hosting thousands of Arbaeen pilgrims; “currently, the country’s army is prepared to counter any dangerous movement,” he concluded.
