MOSCOW, Nov. 12 (MNA) – President Vladimir Putin described on Wednesday as a priority the modernization of the Russian army as a projected plan, while ordering the creation of an anti-aircraft shield between the Caspian and the Black seas, during a meeting with senior officials.

Our task is to implement all that have been planned so far, the president said, reiterating as 'priority' the military construction, the creation of an army equipped with modern weapons and equipment.

Putin stated that the resources to fulfill the state order will be delivered according to the Weapons Program until 2020. He pointed out that this is not an urgent or extra work, but a plan scheduled a decade ago.

Russia Today channel reported that the head of the Kremlin signed a document ordering to accept the proposal of the Russian government to sign an agreement between Moscow and Armenia to establish a joint regional air defense system in the Caucasus.

The Defense Ministry, according to the text, is in charge of the talks with the Armenian side to reach an agreement on the implementation of the project, already approved by the Executive.
