TEHRAN, Nov. 07 (MNA) – In the wake of Asia Shooting Confederation’s (ASC) elections, president of Iran’s Shooting Federation was elected as ASC vice president.

Asia Shooting Confederation’s elections were held on Thursday in Kuwait’s capital Kuwait City where 14 countries had contended for the eight positions of the executive board.

Seyed Mehdi Hashemian, President of Iran’s Shooting Federation, was elected by the board members for the posts of ASC Vice President.

With the withdrawal of Sheikh Salman Sabah Al Sabah during the ASC General Assembly meeting, Sheikh Ali Al-Khalifa from Bahrain was unanimously elected to the Position of ASC President for the next four years.

During the same meeting, one of the Asian championship tournaments which was supposed to be held in October in Iran was postponed to next year in May as well as that Iran was selected to host the wind weapon competitions to be held after 2016 Rio Olympics.
