Iran’s private sector had good relations with Germans prior to unfair anti-Iran sanctions, and both Iranians and Germans are willing to restore the pre-sanctions status of relations, said Masoud Khansari, the President of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, on Monday.
He made the remarks after meeting with members of a business delegation from German state of Bavaria who are visiting Tehran to re-establish commercial ties with their Iranian partners.
After the Vienna agreement of July 14 between Iran and 5+1, hundreds of European businessmen and traders have visited the capital city of Iran in a bid to win a better proportion of the post-sanctions huge market.
Khansari regretted that though the volume of Iran-Germany trade was higher than $5bn a year, the sanctions have significantly lowered the number.
The executive referred to the visit made by a delegation of more than one hundred business people from Germany’s Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) state and described the developments positive. "We hope for the shortest acceleration time to snap back to pre-sanctions status of relations," asserted CEO of Tehran Chamber of Commerce.
