Marzieh Afkham strongly condemned Saudi-led coalition of Arab states’ airstrike to the hospital of Doctors Without Borders affiliated with UNICEF and the World Health Organization in Yemen’s Saada.
“The intruders aim to completely destruct Yemen and relentless bombing of several cities has brought about unfortunate conditions,” Afkham stated.
FM spokeswoman further asserted, “Saudi Arabia and other countries in the Arabic coalition have created humanitarian crisis in Yemen and are vindictively trying to block humanitarian aid or treatment to the people of Yemen.”
Afkham referred to the explicit statement of the UN’s secretary general which, for the first time, mentioned the name of the leading country in the attack against Yemen; “unfortunately, the UN’s Security Council and the international community have remained silent to give intruders a free hand to the extent that they easily dare to attack hospitals affiliated with international organizations and hesitation in requiring offenders to take responsibility for their deadly actions has led to unprecedented spread of chaos, terror and insecurity in the region,” she stressed.
